Margate/Coconut Creek Fire Evolution Training

We have been invited to attend a live burn training exercise in Coconut Creek.  This informational session will introduce CERT members to the full evolution of a structure fire.  We will have the opportunity to watch the units arrive on scene, the placement of apparatus, size up and investigation, setting up a water supply, laying attack lines, and establishing rehab.  This is an educational opportunity so you have a better understanding of what happens on a scene, and why.  We will also be providing rehab to firefighters participating in the active burn scenarios.  We will also be working with Margate, Coconut Creek, and Deerfield Beach CERT.  The goal is for us to see how rehab fits into a scene, and why it's so important.  This gives CERT members the opportunity to train and work together, and put their training to use or learn how to perform Rehab tasks in a controlled environment.
